Block Party for George Wells Parker's Life Commemoration Receives Street Closing Permit

Parker Action Alliance (PAA) will celebrate the life of George Wells Parker, who moved to Omaha in the early 1900s. PAA, a neighborhood association that bridges over North 75 freeway, is mobilizing neighbors to hold a block party and commemoration on Sunday, October 16, at 26th and Parker Streets. Their efforts are supported by grants from the Mayor’s office and Omaha Community Foundation neighborhood grants program. City of Omaha Public Works Department gave the block party street closing permit on October 3rd.
